Pumpkin Patch

Peter had his first school field trip today! His Kindergarten class went to the Pumpkin Patch!! He was so excited all week!! I'm so glad his teacher posted pictures on her blog so that I can see and share them!! It looks like they had so much fun! Peter hasn't stopped talking about it!

We are super excited for the game tonight! Most of you probably know that Jared has completely taken over the duties of Defensive Coordinator. Addy, Jay-J and I went and had lunch with him today and he is nervous and excited! I am nervous and excited for him. I just pray that we'll win out the rest of the season. I can't believe there's only 3 more regular season games after tonight. There's a sparkle of light for the playoffs but we definitely need to win out and that means beating a team that hasn't lost since 2001. We play them the last game of the season. We'll keep y'all posted!! We love and think of you all more often than we'd like to admit. ;)

Hogs All The Way!

Just wanted to share some pictures of our HOGS!! We are getting ready to go have lunch with Jared since that will be the only time we see him until 7:30 tonight. We LOVE Friday Night Football!! Let's hope they can pull a win tonight! Peter and Addy have their last home game tomorrow morning and it's also homecoming for them. So, they will be introduced on the field and all that fun stuff. I'll be sure to take some pictures!! The last two pics were from the last week's game. Love you all!!

Jealous we weren't at the Pumpkin Festival!

Samantha and I are happy out here in winSLOOOOOW! We live on 2 acres and from that we run our 8 chickens, 2 pigs and 3 kids! haha Samantha picked these from the field and I think they look beautiful.
Below is the coat rack project she came up with. I did the cutting and fixture mounting, but she did the real work in getting the deal and color perfect.

This is the before. Got it for free!!! Ron-Ron is on the long armed bench I made from an old project(Jared and Paula we cut the old bunkbed/high bed up and made this).

                                                             Hanging in our place!

Side detail of the hooks she picked for the door. I think she hit the rustic-antique side great.

This is the door knob and old key holes. She worked hard to get the detail on the board to come out. She has done some great pieces and I'll post others later. Don't want to give it all to you at once! haha.
We really miss you guys, but the country life is making it all barable. We love you guys and hope to see you all sooner rather than later. Ron and Samantha and the kids.

1st Annual Pumpkin Pick @ Poppy's and Grandma's

So this is the first pumpkin pick at mom and dad's. We had a patch here at my house last year, but for some reason it is always better at Poppy's and Grandma's!! Mom has better pictures so you could see how many we ended up with! There were a TON!! We had a lot of fun. The kids all loved it and so did we. I feel very blessed that I am able to see mom and dad as often as I want, and that my kids do too. I hope you enjoy the pictures and get a little of the fun out of them that we had!!! Love you guys!!

Darby, Lolli, Indy, and Grace with some of the treasures they found!!

Virginia Bennetts Saying Hi!!

Well,  let's see how we (I mean, I) keep up with this. I have a hard time updating our own blog. But, this kind of gives and has an extra incentive. Great idea Ron and Sam!! We are all doing well here in South Hill, Virginia. Actually, our home is in Baskerville, VA and Jared teaches in South Hill, VA and Peter's school is in Union Level, VA. All that is within 10 miles. Life is very different. I hope Jared will get on and update when he can. Life is VERY different out here. I know I'm struggling the most of all of us. We all look forward to Friday nights for the Dragon's football game! We have a 2-3 record going into the last half of the season. What this 'adventure' has taught me is there is something called PASSION. And as most, I mean ALL of you know, Jared has it for football. Peter loves school! He struggled in the beginning. He kept coming home without a smiley face for his behavior and I had to meet with his principal on the 3rd day of school. I was so embarrassed. But, he has come home for 2 weeks now with smiley faces!! I am so proud of him. Addy loves life. Particularly Cheerleading!! That girl loves it! She does cheers all day long. It's so cute! Jay-J turned the big ONE on Sunday. He is growing up so fast. He had his 1 year checkup yesterday and he is 22lbs 12oz! He is in the 95% for weight and the 10% for height. I think that means he's short and stout. haha We had a little party for him. I gave him a haircut for his party because he needed one. This 'simple' act reminded me of how much I miss you Samantha!! LoL Enjoy the pictures!! The last video is of us singing Happy Birthday to Ron-Ron!
